Frequently Asked Questions
CNC machining FAQ
01What CAD file formats do you accept?
STEP, IGES, X_T, SolidWorks (.sldprt), Solid Edge, Fusion 360, STL (for reference). We’ll request a 2D PDF drawing for tolerances and finish callouts.
02Can you hit tighter than ±0.005 mm?
Yes on specific features — hard turning and grinding can reach ±0.002 mm on select dimensions. Requires discussion — tighter tolerances increase lead time and cost.
03Do you hold ISO 9001 for CNC?
Yes — our machine shop is ISO 9001 certified. Every part ships with a first-article inspection report.
04Can you handle surface finishing in-house?
Yes — anodize (type II / III, any RAL color), chromate, powder coat, PVD, bead blast and polish are all in-house. Passivation and e-coat are subcontracted.
