Automated Assembly

No hands on the board, nose to tail.

Fully automated lines — stencil printer, 3D SPI, Fuji NXT-III pick & place, reflow, inline AOI. 200,000 components/hour per line, closed-loop inspection, zero-touch from stencil to cooled board.

Why automation

Consistency that manual builds can’t touch

Placement repeatability

±25 µm for 01005 · no operator fatigue drift.

Yield

First-pass 99.3% typical · paste defects caught before reflow.

Traceability

Every board barcoded · every part reel traced to operator.

Throughput

200,000 CPH per line · 8 lines running in parallel.

Closed-loop quality

SPI data feeds the pick & place

3D solder-paste inspection runs before every panel. The data feeds back into stencil offset correction and operator alerts within 30 seconds of a drift event.

  • 3D SPI (Koh Young aSPIre3)
  • Fuji NXT-III placement
  • 10-zone reflow · N₂ optional
  • Post-reflow 3D AOI (Koh Young Zenith)
  • X-ray for BGA / QFN / PoP
  • Line-end ICT & FCT options
  • Electronic route card per board
  • MES feeds upstream ERP

Frequently Asked Questions

Automated assembly FAQ

Ask a specialist
01What’s the smallest component you place?

01005 (0.4 × 0.2 mm) in volume. We don’t default to 01005 unless the design demands it — 0201 is usually plenty.

02Can you run lead-free and leaded on the same line?

Yes, but never in the same shift. Lines are segregated per alloy at shift-change, with stencil, nozzle, reflow profile and flux record all logged.

03Do you handle double-sided boards?

Every line runs double-sided by default. Second-pass with glued or small-part holding where needed.

04What file formats for production?

ODB++ preferred · Gerber 274X · CAD XY with centroids & rotation · IPC-2581. BOM in Excel or CSV with manufacturer part numbers.
